  1. Position Trading or Investment Tracker

🔧 Features

Easily document your transactions and positions with a A Comprehensive Investment Tracker with 3 main databases:

  • Transaction Database: Where you can log your buy and sell transactions, including details like ticker symbol, direction (buy/sell), quantity, price, fees, as well as position size indicators, note-taking capabilities, and optional chart embedding.

  • Position Database: A separate database to help you group and manage your multiple buy/sell transactions into logical position sizes based on your chosen position sizing strategy.

  • Ticker Database: Providing an overview of your investment portfolio and summary details, with advanced filtering and viewing options powered by formulas and automations. Especially with live price feed integration, this database can display key metrics like realized P&L, unrealized P&L, and total portfolio value.

On the free Notion plan, you can seamlessly use all these capabilities without limitations, as Notion allows using paid features which are created in paid plan.

An analytical tool called RBAF (Result Based Assumption Forecast) that provides a different lens into your investment data and trading activities:

  • Set desired position sizes for each position group before executing trades, allowing you to track whether you exceeded those targets during trading.

  • Monitor overall wins and losses, average metrics, Kelly criteria, Optimal F, Gain/Loss ratio, and more.

  • Enter assumptions to run forecasting simulations, which you can then compare against your actual trading results and reports.

  • Using RBAF tool, you can pinpoint exactly what it will take to achieve your goal and determine how various adjustments will affect the outcome.

  • The template includes nested instructions and guiding buttons to assist you throughout the process.

Bonus: Live Crypto Prices

  1. Swing Trading

🔧 Features

Another Investment Tracker with a different structure, but I think this one will be more suitable for swing trading.

  • A database where you can enter your individual transactions. You can input details such as setup, account, financial market, entry, stop, target, risk, and fee. The table will automatically provide you with expected R:R, risked value, P&L, and other values. It will have three exit levels for exiting the position. All R and P&L calculations are done automatically. You don't need to enter the date manually; it's all automated, and according to the entry date, it is related to a respective month database for further analytics. You can take notes, paste charts, review, tag, check, and customize.

  • A spot bag database displaying your investment portfolio for that part of the template. It will show the current price, average buy price, total amount you have, and unrealized P&L if you enter the current value of a ticker.

  • A balance report for your total or monthly activities, showing the increase rates from the beginning of the month to the end.

A specialized Analytics page for your swing trading activities:

  • Six different databases for All-time, monthly, yearly, weekdays, financial markets, setups, and tickers.

  • They all display transaction statistics like the number of trades, winners, win rates, returned R, aimed R, risked amount, and P&L.

  • Additionally, there is a slicer system that allows you to filter all the data with a single click, which will be useful for monitoring and control. I'm confident you'll find it extremely beneficial.

  1. Day Trading

Trade Logs Page

Analytics Page

Execution, Inner Demons, Review & Routine Pages

🔧 Features

This is the most detailed and well-crafted part of the template. Review and analytical tools with advanced logging systems and lots of internal integrations between databases... it is by far the best day trading journal ever made, I insist.

  • Trading Logs Database: An advanced, detailed logging system with trade entry details, exit details (with a three-level exit system), user-friendly tables specially arranged for review, drawdown-updraw levels, the ability to tag exit reasoning and recurring mistakes, setup execution rates, advanced filters and automations, a daily total trade calendar view, and much more.

  • Analytics Databases: In addition to the basic analytical metrics in other sections, you can evaluate your performance with metrics such as profit factor, SQN, standard deviation, Sharpe ratio, etc. And you can view all of these specific to variables such as all-time, years, months, weekdays, financial markets, setups, tickers, sessions, timeframes, directions, and risk percentages.

  • Slicers: An ultra-accelerated, advanced formula-driven, tested slicer system that works flawlessly. You can isolate, filter, and analyze all your analytical data specific to the variable you desire.

  • Buttons: And you can perform all these tasks with buttons created for easy use.

  • Execution Analytics: Define the rules and details of your setups, and during each trade, mark how many you followed using the dedicated section embedded within that trade to measure your trade execution rate, i.e., whether you followed the plan.

  • Best & Worst Trades: Databases that present your best and worst trades in a summarized card view.

  • Inner Demons: Facing your inner obstacles is essential for success. Learn from your mistakes to improve your competitiveness and future profits. The table is counting errors automatically according to your trade logs table. At the end of each month, identify the most frequent trading errors and get rid of them quickly. Consistently repeating the same error 8 times within a trading period may indicate significant psychological barriers hindering your progress. Consider stopping trading at that period and reviewing your trading strategies.

  • Review: Magnificent Weekly, Monthly, Yearly review pre-made pages are ready for your use. Just fill them in and make your review of your trades in that particular timeframe. Do not forget that journaling is basically beneficial and effective if you are constantly reviewing and learning from your mistakes.

  • Routine: Check your daily trading routine tasks tailored specifically for you, track their progress over days and months. Also, note down the daily obstacles, what you did well, what you could have done differently, gratitude, and what should be prioritized for the next day in your dedicated journal.

P.S. If you want to use only this Daily section of the template you should definitely check my Ultimate Trading Journal.
